Place the Blank Lexicon on the Lexicon Receptacle. Transcribe the Lexicon This transcription can only be done at a Dwemer Oculory located within the Tower of Mzark in Blackreach, and the only way to reach the tower is go through Alftand, then Blackreach. Once the lexicon cube is returned to its stand, “Elder Knowledge” is received, and grants the active effect “Ancient Knowledge.” The perk grants a permanent 25% armor bonus when wearing Dwarven Armor and Smithing increases 15% faster. 
The Dragonborn will be rewarded with Ancient Knowledge, a permanent bonus. Upon activating the receptacle, the Lexicon will be removed from the inventory and open. What happens if you take the lexicon in Skyrim?
